While we always used wood stains in earthy tones as they take the tone of the shade amply on the wood and so tones like reds, yellows, olive greens are easy to achieve. This was our first experiment of using neutral stain tones on wood without subduing the grains on the wood as the brief required neutral tones in all the pieces commissioned.
The overall design had angular lines which we translated into the defining language for the furniture. Utilitarian aspects were incorporated in the overall neutral theme with seating units designed as detachable units with the connecting tray, mimicking a keystone.
Adhering to our love for film culture, the dining table was inspired from the Dwarven Architecture in Lord of The Rings which wove into the whole theme nicely.
