Furniture design has always been an integral part of our practice.
We started furniture design with an idea of customizing every piece - specific to the site- all designed to context - one of a kind for every client.
With time we've realised that designing every piece to context is not always as feasible considering the scale of the studio that we are and the number of projects that keep coming in. Moreover, a lot of clients usually come with - 'We really love this piece you've done before- can we have the exact same for our space?'
This eventually led us to then shifting from designing every single time to refining what was previously done - working on the smaller details and nuances - consolidating the most appreciated pieces.
Something that started as a mere idea experiment has led us to a point that today we stand with a huge collection/library of our own.
For this project, the timeline was very tight for the number of pieces that were required to be produced - which meant even less time for design.
We decided to curate most of the pieces from our own library by tweaking a few details and creating a theme for the living and dining spaces.
The larger pieces that would create an impact within the space like the lounger, sofa and consoles were designed maintaining simplicity for production but layered with smaller details.
